Job Description : We are looking for a character artist for producing and creating video game characters for our many beloved franchises (film and television). You would be working closely with our senior and lead character artists, as well as our art director, to generate and maintain resources of the most eminent quality for the different games. The characters would be used in our games and for marketing purposes.
Skills and Education : A bachelors degree is imperative in this role. Majors in fine art, game art, and graphic design are acceptable, but to excel in the role you must have a great understanding of 2-D illustration and 3-D modelling and a great artistic ability. You should have good communicative and listening skills and be able to come up with your own ideas, as well as interpret other peoples.
Horizontal Synergy
To promote the products you would be using horizontal synergy. This means that we would post the products in adverts online and on social media. You could then put adverts out in magazines to do with gaming. Television and radio would be used to run adverts (visual or radio broadcast). Finally, action figures could be created of the different characters to promote the game to a wider audience. Action figures are good as they can be sold to younger children to play with, or adults that maybe collect the figures.
